I've been a longtime reader of Becca Woolf over at Girls Gone Child. Sometime ago she started her ode to music (if you will) It is basically 100 songs that hold a special place in her heart. This week she spotlighted number 70, Excuses - by The Morning Benders.
Let me tell you this song just gave me goosebumps. It is so deliciously vintage yet modernly flirty. In my book the mark of a good song invokes the same feelings of having a crush on a boy (or a girl if you so fancy). I couldn't stop smiling and blushing. I couldn't stop thinking about it and it made me want to write bad poetry.
Even if this song is not your forte, you have to admire the utter joy on the faces of the musicians in this video and the incredible (and unexpected) voice coming from such a shy little guy.
