Monday Weigh In

My weigh-loss journey is going to be a long one. As much as any of us would like that quick fix it just isn't going to happen. I've realized that while larger goals are good (like 100lbs lost in a year) It's better for me to do it in 5-10lb intervals. More importantly I have to take it one day at a time. Just focus on doing my best today. I'f I stumble well that's okay because it's going to happen I just have to get up and do my best tomorrow. That's the only way that this is going to work. And it's worked well. I already feel like I've been more involved with my daughter, been more pro-active in my home life. The result seen this morning is a 5lb weight loss. It was just a great thing to wake up to. Now I know that 5lbs in the first week can be typical (water weight anyone) And I'm certainly not striving (or starving) to lose 5lbs a week. 2lbs is my goal. And if I go over that well that's just gravy! (low-fat gravy of course)

Goal for next week = 2lbs lost

you have a very good outlook on things! Your right, along the road there will be many speed bumps, but it's all about how you handle the speed bumps.

2lbs a week is a great goal and 5lbs this week is just awesome...go you!

BTW - DO NOT discount that loss......water or not, it's 5 pounds and that is a HUGE deal!! So quit squashing your glory and shake your bootie while doing a victory dance with me!!
