Tonight whilst (I love that word) bloghopping. I came across the Hope Notes website. It's this great little site that urges people to leave positive, uplifting, friendly notes in random places. Maybe inside a book at the library. Inside the paper machine or tucked in the window on the bus. The possibilities are endless both in where you place them and what you say. The site advises to not get religious in your message (no prob here) it even goes as far as giving you some great one liners. Another cool thing is that they have a flickr account where participants have posted pictures of their notes. (check it out here)
All I could think about is how it would totally make my day if I came across one of these random notes. And you know that things like this have a way of finding you when you really need them. This is just such a cool thing that I'm going to start leaving my own little notes here and there. If anything it gives me a good reason to pull out my journal-o-quotes. I'm not a quote reciter persay but for me words have always held this tremendous power over me. And like a good book, when someone says something truly spectacular I must preserve it for posterity.
I'll keep you posted on the notes I come up with and where I place them. But in the meantime please do make sure you at least check out the flickr photos of the great notes left for strangers to find.

thanks for your comment! Great blog!
And yes, go obama! It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out here in my state, PA! We're the battleground now and I'm so freakin' nervous!
Thank you for stopping by and thank you even more for the support for Proudly Proclaiming! I can't wait to see other bloggers' ideas for the topic of feminism. And I absolutely love the name of your blog as well as the song it's from.
Thanks again!
