The Name Game

I've been sick today with a nasty sinus infection. I just couldn't sleep what with the whole head pounding-can't breath through my nose-oh my god my throat is on fire events I have going on.

So rather than catch up on work. I decide to play a little name game do a name search on myself. I have a very common last name and a very old fashioned first name. So I figured I'd find a few but man I had no idea how many of me there are out there. And they run the gamut as far as lives go. What is our universal tie? Why a fantastic name but of course.


Real Estate Brokers (apparently Frances like Real Estate)
An Author (Frances likes to write)
Mayoress of New Zealand (why does Frances have to be called Mayoress? Why can't she just be Mayor?)
A daughter of an emancipated slave who later made her home a station for the underground railroad. (my hero Frances)
Scottish Marymass Festival Queen (Pageant Frances)
A Minister (Hallelujah Frances)
A Brooklyn Mother standing up against Gang Violence (you better straighten your ass out Frances)
A Therapist (Frances cares about your feelings for $200 an hour)
A Folk Artist (She's Crafty Frances)
A Mass Murder Victim (...Frances...uh...that sucks)

The list goes on and on. It was kind of fun reading about these ladies. And if you have a remotely common name I recommend searching yourself out. You might be just as surprised as I was.
