Wiggle-Iggle Friday Block Party

As of late I've been trying to find just the right song as an ode for Luna over at secrets. When I started this whole bloggy thing she was one of the first people to ever comment. I still remember one of the first posts I read, about her return to work. Followed shortly by the hilarious die die my darling. She's just this insiteful, funny, smart, and incredibly interesting person. She's been a great comrade to have. I've learned so much about how to create the blog I want from her. She's currently helping me with a new project that I promise to fill you in on in a few weeks and I couldn't feel more lucky because she's involved. I see us being great friends whether or not we ever get a chance to sit down face to face and get drunk together. And she's been a huge supporter of Wiggle Iggle Friday. Even hosting her own kick ass Wiggle Iggle Friday. (I'm still insanely jealous that she posted Summertime by DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince before It ever crossed my mind).

So I went round and round trying to find that great song. My first instict was to go with bon jovi's "runaway" you know because they're from Jersey (like Luna) and in the video they had hair that much resembled Luna's circa 1992 Anybody who can get their bangs that high has mad skillz. Plus, that video is just HILARIOUS and I know Luna appreciates a good laugh. But It just didn't feel right. So I thought Pete Yorn is a Jersey boy. A Jersey boy that I ADORE. MusicForTheMorningAfter is one of my desert island cd's. I seriously wore my cd out listening to it too much. And he's just so pretty (so is Luna), He's so talented (like Luna), he looks like he's be fun to have a drink with (Like Luna!) and more importantly he RAWKS (like Luna) So I found this cool video on youtube coincidentally for the song 'Black'. It's a song I adore as I adore Luna and secrets. Please enjoy and please make sure you experience Secrets of A Black Heart you'll be glad you did.



Since this is a Block Party Wiggle Iggle... I wanted to serve up a song that's been all up in my head on repeat these days. Especially since the days have been warm as of late. Sure to cause the groovy wiggles. I give you Luscious Jackson.
